Actually that's kind of sad. Why impose your ideals of beauty on a strong, talented, beautiful woman from the past, in a way that erases prominent features that she herself proudly incorporated into her own art.
Why stop there? Why not give her a nose job in photoshop?
Whoah -- it's interesting to see that removing that small patch of hair, (which makes her more "feminine" perhaps?) takes away some of the power of her countenance. It softens her.
And it weakens her.
That's our culture in a nutshell isn't it? Male=strong, female=weak.
